| "Bullhorn's Integrated Resume Search allows us to be more efficient in searching for candidates. The easy-to-use interface allows us to pick just the fields we want to search on and then save that search.
It's definitely worth it to be able to stay in Bullhorn rather than having to go to a separate job board search screen." |

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions about Universal Search
What is Universal Search?
Universal Search is a feature of the Bullhorn Applicant Tracking System that helps recruiters source from more than 10,000 free and paid job boards. The advanced matching technology identifies the candidates that are the best fit for a job so recruiters can dramatically reduce the amount of time it takes for each search.
What sources are included?
If we want a source that’s not currently covered by Universal Search, can it be added?
Universal Search covers more than 70 million resumes on more than 10,000 resume databases, free and paid job boards and social networks. This includes Monster, CareerBuilder, HotJobs, LinkedIn, Dice and Craigslist as well as a wide array of sites across Canada, Europe, South America, Asia and Australia. With this extensive coverage, it’s likely that whatever your favorite source is, it’s already part of Universal Search.
If you have a source that isn’t currently part of Universal Search, we can easily have it added so you can use it from within Bullhorn.

Does Universal Search replace my accounts with Monster, CareerBuilder, etc?
No. You still need to have accounts with any of the sources you want to use that require a login.
Does it use my views with job boards?
Yes, but you can limit the number of results for each source for all users, as well as for each individual search. You can also compare your results across boards and look at trends over time, providing the opportunity to optimize your views from your paid boards.
Can I search by geographical region?
Yes. You can limit your search to only find candidates within a specified distance of a city or zip or postal code.
Can I control the recency of the resumes in my results?
Yes. It’s easy to determine how recent you want your results to be.
How does advanced matching work?
Advanced matching takes the results of your keyword search of defined sources, and then filters those results so the candidates that best fit your job are at the top of the list.
More specifically, advanced matching looks at the job description and/or ideal candidate associated with your search, as well as more than one million historical jobs and placements, and identifies patterns in all of the data. The technology intelligently predicts which candidates are most likely to lead to a placement, and presents you with a prioritized list of results.
Do I have to use advanced matching? Can I just run a search and not associate a job or ideal candidate with that search?
No, you don’t have to use advanced matching. You can search across whatever sources you’d like to achieve what you need.
However, since advanced matching can predict and filter your results and save you time, it’s the best way to boost productivity and fill a job order as quickly as possible.
